WABASH VALLEY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The DNR has announced that registration for the Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BOW) workshop opens on March 1.

The Becoming an Outdoors Woman workshop is for women 18 and older who are interested in learning outdoor skills in a relaxed, low-pressure environment. Attendees will be able to choose 4 courses out of the two dozen offered including wildlife tracking, archery, outdoor cooking, wild edibles, shooting muzzleloader guns, fishing, geocaching, and more. 

This year, the BOW workshop will take place at Ross Camp in West Lafayette from May 5 – 7. The cost of the workshop is $275 which includes all lodging, equipment, and meals. Those interested can register online at the DNR event registration page but the availability will close after 100 registrants are entered. 

The Becoming an Outdoors Woman workshop is designed for women who are curious about and have never tried these activities but are looking for opportunities to learn. Women who are beginners in these areas but are looking to improve their skills are also welcome. Or women who just enjoy being outdoors and are looking for like-minded individuals are also welcome to register and join.
