INDIANA — Hoosiers have had the opportunity to fish for free in the state’s public waters this season, and Saturday, June 3 is the next free fishing day.
According to the Department of Natural Resources, residents of Indiana will not need a fishing license or a trout/salmon stamp to fish, but all other rules regarding seasons, bags, and size limits apply.
The remaining free fishing days will be June 3-4, and the last for the season will be on Sept. 23.
Free fishing days are a great opportunity to enjoy fishing or learn how to fish. To find locations that are hosting events on free fishing days, check out the DNR calendar webpage.
