TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — After working in the animation department at Disneyland for 15 years, Artist James Shepard has been painting murals around Terre Haute.
Wednesday evening the Swope Art Museum hosted an unveiling for one of Shepard’s murals.
The mural is an 8×24-foot piece highlighting some the museum’s iconic paintings and sculptures.
The location of the mural is on the north wall of the Swope Art Museum in the alley on 7th Street.
Shepard explains that the mural has some of his favorite pieces in it.
“I’m very happy with the way it turned out and I did copies on the mural. Some of my favorite paintings that I’ve loved through the years,” Shepard said.
This was made possible by a $10,000 grant from the Indiana Destination Development Corporation.
