TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – FEMA and the state of Indiana are partnering to open a Disaster Recovery Center in Owen County.
The Disaster Recovery Center will be open from May 4-6 and May 15-17, to help survivors of the March 31– April 1 storms and tornadoes, to continue their recovery.
Specialists from FEMA, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and the state will be at the center to help with FEMA applications, answer questions and provide referrals to resources.
The center will be located at the Spencer Owen Administration Building. That address is 205 East Hillside Avenue in Spencer, Indiana.
Hours of operation are 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. on May 4-5 and 15-16. Hours for May 6 and 17 will be 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
More recovery centers are open or will be opening soon in other impacted areas. Businesses and Individuals in Allen, Benton, Clinton, Grant, Howard, Johnson, Lake, Monroe, Morgan, Owen, Sullivan, and White counties can visit any open center for help.
The deadline to apply for federal assistance is June 14, 2023.
