Deming Park drive-thru Trunk or Treat this Saturday

Local News

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Deming Park will offer a Trunk or Treat Saturday for families looking for some Halloween fun.

This year’s event will replace their usual Halloween Happenings event.

Families can stay inside their cars and drive through the park, while 13 area businesses will hand out candy. People are encouraged to dress up and even decorate their cars.

“With COVID this year, we’re not able to safely put on our Halloween Happenings like we do every year, so we wanted to do something for the children in the community, it’s such a fun time to see all the kids for Halloween Happenings and this year everything’s different and we want to be as safe as possible,” Jennifer Johnson with Terre Haute Parks said.

Trunk or Treat will be this Saturday starting at 5 p.m. while supplies last.

The Deming Park train will be running for families this Friday and Saturday Oct. 16-17 and next weekend Oct. 23-24 from noon to 4 p.m. The train and barn will be decorated for the occasion.
