TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A group of high school students helped bring holiday cheer to local children Tuesday.

Students in Terre Haute South Vigo High School’s DECA Chapter held a holiday celebration for students who attend United Child Care.

The students coordinated games, crafts, activities and gifts for the children.

The DECA club teaches students about leadership and entrepreneurship in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.

Events like Tuesday’s holiday celebration teach the students how community service is an important part of being a leader.
