TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Attendees got to dance the night away at the second annual Grace Gala at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church.

This prom-like event serves individuals with disabilities and gives them a chance to be celebrated in a big way one night a year. Also our own Julie Henricks served as the emcee.

Those who attended got to enjoy a party bus, balloon artist, karaoke rooms, a DJ, and a red carpet. Each guest was also crowned, king or queen of the prom.

“Your heart fills up. You can see the excitement in their face and it’s just so exciting,” Volunteer Grace Carr said.

“It is overjoyed that I’m able to come and have fun, and get to meet all the people. My heart is really happy to be in this place,” Prom attendee Hannah Gablage said.

This event is also happening on April 15, from 4-7 p.m.
