MARTINSVILLE, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — A local farm that provides fall and holiday fun for the community is celebrating 40 years of business.

Dahnke’s Family Farms in Martinsville, Illinois started back in 1983 when the business began by selling crafts and Christmas trees. Four decades later, it also provides a reindeer and barn lot experience, a corn maze, and much more!

The owners say 40 years in business has taken dedication and hard work and they’re grateful to everyone who has supported them throughout the years.

“Over the 40 years of business, we’ve had over 900 people, kids, adults work for us and just being able to have so many people share with us and work with us – we always say they work with us and not for us – and so that’s just an awesome memory that I have,” said Doug Dahnke, Co-Owner of Dahnke Family Farms.

The farm has themed Saturdays planned for the month of October and more fun events in the works leading up to Christmas.
