VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Crews are attempting to locate a 64-year-old man whose capsized boat was found Friday afternoon floating down the Wabash River southeast of Cayuga, Sheriff Mike Phelps reported.
Duke Energy personnel called 911 at 2:40 p.m. after locating fishing equipment and an overturned boat floating on the river behind a company building.
The identity of the man, who is from Danville, Ill., is being withheld until all family members are contacted.
Indiana Conservation Officers, the Vermillion County Sheriff’s Office, the Cayuga Town Marshal’s Office, Cayuga Fire and Rescue, Clinton City Water Rescue and Illiana EMS are on the scene.
