EDGAR COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) – Crews were on the scene of a crash involving a school bus just east of Paris.

The accident happened on US-150 just west of Vermilion Road.

According to Edgar County Sheriff Jeff Wood, the crash involved two passenger vehicles and one school bus.

Sheriff Wood said the bus was not moving when the accident happened.

“We had a school bus stopped. A vehicle stopped behind it. A third-party vehicle rear-ended them and into the bus. So it’s under investigation now with the Illinois State Police,” Sheriff Wood said.

One person in one of the passenger vehicles was injured.

No children on the school bus were injured.

The road was closed for about five hours for clean-up and investigation by Illinois State Police.
