COVID-19 in Indiana: 764 new cases reported statewide, 2 new deaths in Vigo County

INDIANAPOLIS (WTWO/WAWV) – The Indiana State Department of Health announced Thursday 764 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

That brings the statewide total number of cases since the pandemic began to 102,243.

3,186 Indiana residents are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 13 from the previous day. According to the state’s data, there are two new deaths in Vigo County.

Statewide, another 224 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record.

To date, 1,164,141 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 1,158,018 on Wednesday. A total of 1,584,532 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since February 26.
