COVID-19 forces ISU to pause men’s basketball

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Indiana State University men’s basketball program has suspended all team activities following a positive coronavirus case, the program announced on Wednesday.

Director of Sports Medicine and Performance Kellen Norris said, “An individual in the men’s basketball program has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual who tested positive is in isolation and those identified as close contacts are in quarantine. All team activities have been paused at this time.”

Indiana State University will continue to follow the guidance put forth by the NCAA and the Indiana State Department of Health. The Sycamores are set to begin their 2020-21 season Nov. 25 at the Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Fla.
