CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Update as of April 14 at 7:45 a.m: Cole Hollingsworth, a Conservation Officer for Green County District 5, confirmed the identity of the deceased as 65-year-old Michael D. Rubeck of Bowling Green Indiana.

Hollingsworth said the crash happened at approximately 5 p.m.

He said the driver of the ATV swerved to not hit a dog which resulted in the ATV rolling over. Rubeck was a passenger and got stuck underneath and he died at the scene.

Update: ISP Sgt. Matt Ames confirmed it was a fatal ATV incident. Indiana DNR is handling the investigation.

A coroner has been called to respond to the scene of a crash in Clay County on Thursday evening.

According to Clay County dispatch, emergency services and a coroner were called around 5:50 p.m. to the area of 2786 N County Road 875 East.
