TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Convention Center project in downtown Terre Haute is slowly starting to take shape.

According to Capital Improvement Board president Jon Marvel, the project is currently running on schedule and within budget.

Marvel recently received a one-month look-ahead report from Garmong Construction showing that crews will continue steel framework for the building throughout the month of January.

Prep work will also be completed before pre-cast panels are brought in for the northeast parking garage.

The panels are set to be delivered in February, and once they arrive, Marvel said, “the garage will look as if it’s going up real quick.”

Construction is expected to be complete by 2022.
