TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Construction on the downtown Terre Haute convention center is on track to be finished by March 3.

General Manager with Spectra Venue Management Tennile Wanner said the process of moving in furniture and office equipment will begin on that day.

Wanner added that they will also be walking potential clients through the space and getting ready for the public opening which is scheduled to take place in early April.

“It’s really finding out, you know, where exactly do we store everything in the building.” Wanner said. “So it’s everything from the items that it takes to make the event happen, to all the furniture and office supplies and everything. So we’re basically getting an empty building and so we need to furnish the whole building so it’s typically a good month-long process to get everything in order.”

The public opening will take place on April 9th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
