TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Community members and game-lovers in the area can now explore the city of Terre Haute in the format of a beloved board game.
Late for the Sky is a company that makes Monopoly-style games, and in June the company released Terre Haute-opoly
The board game includes familiar spots around the city ranging from popular restaurants to museums, colleges, and city parks.
Late for the Sky has also made custom board games celebrating close to 2,300 cities across the country including numerous cities in Indiana.
The company says it has sold about 600 Terre Haute-opoly games so far.
“We honestly see more interest in the smaller town games than the bigger city towns. You know Indianapolis is a good selling game but the interest and the buzz that has been created just from walking into our Walgreens or Walmart and seeing the Terre Haute-opoly has been pretty awesome to see,” said Michael Schulte, marketing manager of Late for the Sky.
The company manufactures its games in Cincinnati, Ohio. Schulte also said you can find Terre Haute-opoly for purchase at locations like Walmart and Walgreens. The game is also available for purchase at the local Vigo County Historical Museum.
