TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — As Indiana State University gears up for the 4th annual Give to Blue Day of fundraising they’ve announced a nationally known former student will be returning as part of the festivities.

Comedian, 2006 ISU theatre graduate, and third runner up on America’s Got Talent season 14, Ryan Niemiller will be performing as part of the Give to Blue Day activities March 16.

“I am pumped to get to come back to Indiana State for Give to Blue Day. It has been about a decade since I was last doing theater at ISU. I learned how to be a performer in the Theater Department, and it’s a nice full circle moment for me to get to come back and perform again.”

Ryan Niemiller

Niemiller, who was also featured on America’s Got Talent: The Champions, is from Demotte, Indiana. His brand of humor often features themes of growing up poor and with visible physical differences in a small Midwest town. He talks of childhood dreams of becoming a pro wrestler, succeeding on the local theatre scene but struggling to find his place on a broader market, and then finding his niche in comedy.

Niemiller will perform as part of the evening’s entertainment with doors opening to the SycamoreBanquet Center at 6:30 p.m. There will be student performances at 7 p.m. with Niemiller taking the stage at 7:30 p.m.

Admission to the show is free but registration is required. To register visit this link. While registration does include an option to donate toward scholarships for ISU Students, this donation is not required for admission to the comedy show.
