MARSHALL, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) – Coffee lovers, listen up, a fun event returns on Friday to promote local coffee shops in Illinois.
It’s the second annual Coffee Trail organized by Discover Downstate Illinois. Over 50 independent coffee shops throughout 28 counties are taking part. You can pick up a “passport” at participating shops or download the Discover Downstate Illinois app to see all the shops on the coffee trail.
Gypsy Queen Coffee in Marshall is participating again this year. Owner Sara Tarble said It’s such a fun event for coffee lovers.
“I love going to other coffee shops too. I like to patronize them because I know the effort that’s made and it’s just fun and I hope that it continues so I would encourage everyone to come out and visit all of our local coffee shops. People have a passion for it. They love it and they like to share their excitement,” Tarble said.
If you visit at least eight of the participating coffee shops, you can be entered into a raffle to win merchandise from participating shops.
