TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – WTWO’s annual “Clear the Shelters” event sponsored by Toyota of Terre Haute has received a big donation.
While Saturn Petcare is rather new to the community, the company was able to donate roughly 250,000 total cans of pet food for the event. This was accumulated over the past 9 months.
Chief Operating Officer Andy Volkl said they’re excited to be able to help the community as well as local shelters.
“We’re honored and proud, it makes the folks who work here proud,” Volkl said. “We have talked a lot about what we should do with these cans and and everybody came, we want to donate it, we need to help our community.”
The donation will be distributed to participating shelters.
The event is scheduled for August 20th.
