BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Clay County Health Department, in cooperation with the Indiana State Department of Health, will offer free COVID-19 tests to all Clay County residents. The test site will be at the Forest Park Cow Palace, at 911 S Bonnie Gene Miller Dr. in Brazil.
The tests will be conducted from Tuesday, Nov. 17 to Saturday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Clay County residents can drive through or walk up for the free tests.
Those receiving tests are asked to follow the posted signs. No appointments are necessary for Indiana residents, but those who wish to be tested will need to provide a state of Indiana driver’s license, Indiana-issued ID card or proof of residency such as a water bill or phone bill.
The test will be conducted with a nasopharyngeal swab. It is confidential and results will be given within three to five days.
Those who should be tested include people who are at risk, over age 65, are diabetic, suffer from obesity, high blood pressure and heart or lung issues or any other underlying health conditions.
It should take 15 to 20 minutes to fill out information forms and receive the test.
