CLARK COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Clark County Highway Department will begin an expansive project that covers 15 different locations along Clarksville Road and 3 locations along Angling Road on June 5.
The 1.9 million dollar project will include guardrail replacement, shoulder replacement, and paved ditch removal. The project will cause partial lane closure at times, and other locations will have total road closures.
The Clark County Highway Department will begin the project on Clarksville Road just west of the I-70 overpass to 1500th Street and will provide updates regarding the status of the project and its locations.
A release from the Clarksville Highway Department stated, “We are aware this project comes at a time when IDOT has construction projects on Route 40 and I-70. With the help of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, we will do our best to inform you of important traffic impacts. We encourage you to use alternate routes if possible.”
The highway department asks motorists to be alert and patient as delays are to be expected and to drive cautiously as crews will be working frequently.
