ROBINSON, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — People in Robinson will have a chance to get rid of extra bulky trash items within the next couple of weeks.

According to a post from the City of Robinson, Republic Services will hold a bulk item pick-up service on October 23 – 27. 

Residents are asked to put their bulk items at the curb for collection on the night before their regularly scheduled trash day.

A list of items that will not be accepted are as follows:

  • Tires
  • Large appliances
  • TVs
  • Computers
  • Paint
  • Construction material
  • Flammable/hazardous material
  • Tree limbs/yard waste
  • Any other items that are too large to be lifted by 2 individuals

For the disposal of other items, such as a mattress, it must be wrapped in plastic or it will not be accepted. Any carpeting must be cut into 4-foot sections, and any items placed in cardboard boxes or paper bags will not be accepted. 

The bulk trash collection service only applies to people who have their trash service payments up to date.
