TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Students from Terre Haute North Vigo High School have begun participating in the Chick-Fil-A Leadership Academy.

Those participating learn how to become better leaders and they develop important life skills. Students will meet once a week to complete leadership activates and learn collaboration skills.

Within those weeks, students will also engage in different projects to help stretch their imagination to achieve breakthrough results. Business teacher Brett Taylor said this is a great opportunity for his students.

“Coming to teach it was, it was exciting for me to be able to bring these real life concepts,” Taylor said. “Something they’re gonna deal with beyond just the classroom and they’ll deal with in the real world.”

Terre Haute Chick-Fil-A owner Evan Williamson said he hopes to expand this program to all Terre Haute high schools.
