VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A report of someone driving too slow and weaving across the center line led to the arrest of a Chicago man who was reportedly driving a stolen vehicle.

Vermillion County deputies located the suspect vehicle around 2:30 a.m. Friday at the intersection of State Road 63 and County Road 450 S. The vehicle, driven by James Brown, 30, of Chicago, entered the median and came to a stop.

When deputies activated their emergency lights, Brown drove off traveling south on SR 63 at a slow rate of speed; however, he eventually came to a stop just north of the intersection at US Hwy 36.

Upon further investigation, deputies learned the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Chicago.

Brown was taken to Union Hospital where he tested positive for marijuana and was found to have a blood alcohol content of .19%. He was then transported to the Vermillion County Jail where he is being held on a $10,000 bond. He faces multiple charges related to driving under the influence and possession of stolen property.
