VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Officials arrested a man Friday in Vermillion County after he threatened to shoot employees at One Nine Travel Plaza.

Austin Miller, 28, Chicago, was allegedly upset with store employees and thought someone had stolen his property from a shower room, police said. Miller began threatening employees and said he would “shoot up” the store, according to the police report.

After some confrontation, Miller allegedly found his stuff in a shower room and went back outside and sat in his semi truck parked behind the store. Upon arrival, police found Miller in his semi and he initially refused to open the door.

After a few minutes police said Miller surrendered and came out of the truck. Officers then searched Miller’s truck and allegedly found two air soft guns and marijuana, according to the report.

Miller was booked into the Vermillion County Jail for Felony Intimidation and possession of marijuana. He was later later released after posting 10% of a $15,000 bond.
