TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– Update: One man has died following a car vs motorcycle crash in Terre Haute Sunday.

According to the Terre Haute Police Department, the crash occurred in the area of South 15th and Warren streets in Terre haute.

Monday, THPD announced that the driver of the motorcycle, 49-year-old Robert Harkness, had died due to the injuries sustained in Sunday’s wreck.

The driver of the SUV was reportedly treated for injuries at the scene and released.

According to a release from the Terre Haute Police Department, a crash involving a car and a motorcycle happened early Sunday afternoon. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital, and their condition is unknown at this time.

THPD Officers and the Vigo County Fatal Accident Reconstruction team are currently working the scene.
