CLARK COUNTY, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — A 19-year-old from Pennsylvania was killed Wednesday afternoon in a crash on I-70 in Clark County, just west of the Indiana state line.
According to Illinois State Police, a car driven by Donovan Nardini, 18, of New Oxford, Penn., was eastbound on I-70. For an unknown reason, the vehicle left the roadway, crossed the median into the westbound land, and struck a semi driven by Devinder Singh, 31, of, Bargersville, Ind., head on.
A passenger in the car, Zachary Reynolds, 19, of York, Penn., was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clark County coroner. Nardini was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries. The driver of the semi was not injured.
Nardini was cited for improper lane usage.
