TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Local dog owners gathered Sunday in Fairbanks Park to support CODA and have a nice fun day in the sun with their feline friends.

‘Canines For CODA’ was an event put together by The Council on Domestic Abuse to help support and fund their organization.

This event included many things such as a one-mile dog walk, multiple food vendors, dog painting artists, and live music.

“It is important to continue our operations for our emergency shelter and mental health advocacy center. We just thought why not combine dogs with fundraising because everyone loves dogs,” said Emily Murray, the Executive Director of CODA.
