TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Calvary Cemetery honored veterans for Wreaths Across America on Saturday in Terre Haute, Ind.

Family and friends of dead veterans placed wreaths upon their loved ones graves to honor them.

Before the placing of the wreaths, a short ceremony was held to honor veterans. A short prayer and the playing of taps was included in the ceremony.

Calvary Cemetery Property Manager Larry Silver said that he was honored to be able to host this event.

“I have the upmost respect for veterans and care a lot about them,” Silver stated. “It’s a way for us to give back to the veterans.”

Silver said that his goal is to have a wreath the grave of every veteran in the cemetery.
