SAINT MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Using your personality to your advantage was just one of the topics covered at the Terre Haute Women’s Conference.

This marks the fifth year the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce has put on the event hosted at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.

It gave women the chance to learn from each other’s knowledge and experience.

Becky Anders is the owner of Petals by Flannel Rose Boutique and Flannel Rose Boutique Online. She was one of the speakers.

“I just think it’s always good to have professional development. There’s always more to learn. There’s always people who may have an idea you have not thought of and that you can learn from,” said Becky Anders.

The Provost of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Janet Clark said the school loves hosting the event and she likes attending.

“There’s always something new to learn. There’s always a new story to hear and it just motivates me. It just fills me up to be surrounded by strong women,” added Clark.

About 200 women attended Friday’s event.
