TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Local business leaders have launched a Political Action Committee to support the Vigo County Casino referendum.
This November, county voters will be asked if inland casino gambling should be permitted.
Tuesday, the West Central Indiana PAC launched its “Casino Terre Haute” website as well as a fundraising effort.
People will be able to obtain yard signs, register to volunteer or donate to the campaign efforts.
The PAC’s goal is to convince residents to vote “yes” to a casino.
The election will be held Nov. 5.
It is a municipal election; however, the Vigo County Clerk has added vote centers to areas outside the city to make it easier for county residents to vote on the referendum.
