TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Bringing Back the Bash was a huge success this year, bringing back many memories for those who attended. But the Bash was not the only thing that was a success.

Organizers of the event was able to raise $5,000 for local charities in Terre haute. The Terre Haute Humane Society, Reach Services, Team of Mercy, and Isaiah 117 were presented $1,250 each.

Coordinator Sonny Rooney said it’s all about coming together for the community.

“At the end of the day it was about the community and all of us coming together. You know in today’s times and the craziness, we just want to see people smile and have a good time. And make it a family affair at the same time while giving back,” Rooney said.

Rooney also said he and his team have already started planning next year’s event.
