CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — All lanes of I-70 have been reopened as of 2:20 p.m. Wednesday after a semitruck that caught fire at MM 32 eastbound shut down all lanes heading in that direction.

As of 1 p.m., firefighters were still working to put out the flames from the truck, which was transporting a load of paper, according to ISP Sergeant Matt Ames. Eastbound traffic was being directed off I-70 at the Brazil exit.

No injuries have been reported from the incident, Ames said, and the fire was caused by mechanical issues with the truck and a blown tire. All lanes have now been reopened and drivers no longer have to avoid the area.
