BRAZIL, Ind. — One person is dead and one man is in jail following a stabbing early Thursday morning in Brazil, Ind.
Cody A. Wade, 29, of Brazil was arrested after the Brazil Police Department responded to a reported stabbing at 236 E. National Avenue.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a male victim inside the residence. He was transported to St. Vincent Clay Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Officers said they identified Wade as a suspect from information gathered at the scene, and he was quickly found and arrested.
Wade is currently being held at the Clay County Justice Center on charges of murder, resisting arrest and two counts of battery of a law enforcement officer.
The identification of the victim is being withheld pending notification to family.
