BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Brazil Concert Band will soon return to the stage. Tuesday evening, the band held their first rehearsal of the year. Over 50 members rehearsed together at Forest Park.
The band will perform the 75th Celebration of the End of World War II at the park at Sunday, June 6 at 8:00 p.m. They will perform music to honor the victory of America and allies of World War II.
“Many of the people in the band were drafted into the service, and we did have some loss of life in the first and second world war from members of our band. Ever since then from 100 years ago, about right now, we start playing here in Forest Park,” director of the Brazil Concert Band, Matthew Huber said.
Huber says he dedicates his life to music, and is thankful to have the band back together.
