TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Icy road conditions were the cause of dozens of roadway incidents in the Wabash Valley on Saturday.

Vigo County Dispatch confirmed that they received dozens of weather related calls due to the freezing rain.

Sullivan County Sheriff Clark Cottom confirmed 15 vehicle slide-offs in the county. Two crashes resulted in personal injury, but zero deaths were reported.

Indiana State Police Public Information Officer Sgt. Matt Ames said that ISP worked 17 property damage accidents and seven slide-offs. Ames confirms that one of those crashes resulted in the death of three people on Interstate 70 near mile marker 24.
