SAINT-MARY-OF-THE-WOODS, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – After being postponed, the Aurora Literary Journal at Saint-Mary-Of-The-Woods College has finally been released.
Supporters of the publication met on campus Wednesday evening to celebrate the launch of their 2020 edition. The publication has been around for over 150 years and sees no sign of slowing down. Faculty advisor, Josh MacIvor-Anderson is proud of all the hard work the staff has put in to make this edition one to remember.
“So we feel like in some ways, art can be like a light shining in the darkness, and for some it’s been a pretty dark season. And so what we feel great about, is the idea that the light of this art- this collected art form from the community, really is pushing back against the darkness that so many people have felt,” MacIvor-Anderson said.
The group hopes the publication can continue to connect to the larger communities of West Terre Haute and Terre Haute.
