FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Arts Illiana is holding its 8th annual small arts exhibit that features art from local artists around the Wabash Valley.

To celebrate the 2023 small art exhibit, the gallery will be open to the public from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Friday. After the opening night, the gallery will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday-Friday, and from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays.

Only artists living in Clay, Parke, Putnam, Sullivan, Vermillion, and Vigo counties in Indiana and Edgar and Clarke counties in Illinois can enter their artwork in the small art exhibition. Artists can submit up to 5 pieces for the exhibit.

The small art exhibit requires the submitted pieces to be no larger than 12” by 12″, or 12” x 12” x 12” for 3D works, and all pieces are for sale to the public. 

In Search of Lost Time | Nancy Nichols-Pethick (encaustic with image transfer and oil)

Arts Illiana’s guest jurors are Michael and Susan Tingley, established artists in the Terre Haute community, who selected the 33 pieces of artwork that will be included in the small art exhibition. Those who visit the gallery can also see an exhibit comprised of the Tingley’s artwork in the North Gallery throughout the duration of the small art exhibition.
