WASHINGTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — An altercation involving a knife led to the arrest of an 18-year-old man in Washington.

That’s according to Washington Police, who said Nathan Exantus was charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon, battery, and minor consumption as part of the October 29 arrest.

Police said the charges stem from incidents occurring in the early morning hours in the 1400 block of Vincennes Avenue. Exantus reportedly had been involved in a physical altercation with another individual and allegedly struck a juvenile. When police arrived to the scene they said Exantus had just returned following the earlier altercation this time in possession of a knife.

Police said their presence may have prevented any further altercations from occurring, and Exantus was placed under arrest.
