TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)- Update: A vehicle and a truck were involved in a crash causing major delays on 3rd (U.S. 41) and Critchfield Streets Saturday.

According to a post from the Terre Haute Police Department, a vehicle was turning east from the southbound lane through backed-up traffic and was hit by a Ford F-250.

The Ford F-250 went into a ditch and rolled onto its side, trapping all three occupants inside.

All three occupants of the Ford F-250 and both occupants of the vehicle were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.


Original: A crash early Saturday afternoon caused long delays on U.S. 41 near Interstate 70.

The accident happened just south of I-70, just in front of the Panda Express on U.S. 41. A WTWO staff member saw one vehicle knocked onto its side off of the road, and at one other vehicle involved. It is not yet clear if there were any injuries.

The Terre Haute Police Department as well as the Vigo Co. Reconstruction team were still working the scene around 3 p.m. This is a developing story and we will post any updates as we get them.
