TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Terre Haute church provided a little extra help to local residents this Thanksgiving season.
St. Paul Missionary Baptist held its food giveaway Saturday.
The church began collecting items in January for its “Stack the Wall” program; however, when the pandemic hit, food items dwindled off.
“We have to recognize that there are struggling families,” Pastor Terry Clark said. “This is nothing new because people do this every year, so this is a time for us to be able to give back to the community and help those in need.”
Clark said more donations were received this week, and with the help of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and volunteers from the congregation, the church was able to provide help to those who needed it.
