TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A housefire in Terre Haute has left a family of four displaced.
According to Terre Haute Fire Chief Bill Berry, the fire occurred at a home in the 1500 block of 8th Street at 12:44 p.m. Sunday.
Berry said while firefighters were able to get the fire under control within an hour, the damage was extensive. It reportedly took crews multiple hours to overhaul the building to ensure the fire was out.
No injuries were reported stemming from the incident. Red Cross has been contacted for the displaced two adults and two children.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
