KNOX COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation Friday announced an update regarding a complete closure for the Hillcrest Road bridge spanning U.S. 50 in Vincennes.
Beginning on or around Friday, Feb. 26, contractors will close all lanes of the bridge to replace the bridge approach and repair the joints.
The closure is expected to last for 30 days depending upon weather conditions.
During the closure, local traffic will have access up to the point of closure, but no thru traffic will be able to access the bridge. The official state detour asks that motorists use U.S. 41 to navigate around the closure.
