PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Marshall, Ind. man drove off of State Road 47 Monday after falling asleep behind the wheel.
David Crowder, 24, was driving a red 1998 Dodge Dakota and heading west when he fell asleep, according to a police report. Crowder’s car then ran off the north side of the road and hit an embankment before stopping in a field on the side of the road.
Parke County Sheriff’s deputies were called soon after the crash to assist Crowder, with additional assistance from Marshall first responders and Parke County Emergency Services. Crowders was then taken to Union Hospital Clinton to be treated for chest and face pain.
