TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Several officers in the Terre Haute Police Department were recognized Friday as part of the 32nd annual THPD Officers Recognition and Commendation Dinner.

The ceremony was held at the Terre Haute Convention Center Friday evening.

Here’s a look at the awards and award recipients for this year’s ceremony.

In addition to the awards ceremony a number of retirees were recognized for their service to the department. First Financial Bank was the title sponsor of the evening, WTWO’s Nicole Krasean was one of the individuals tasked with presenting the awards. Mayor Duke Bennett was also in attendance.

Public Information Officer Justin Sears said it’s a great way to honor those in the Police Department.

“They don’t do this job for recognition. They don’t do it for pay or recognition. So we have to come back and we have to recognize them for the jobs that they do cause they don’t worry about that,” Sears said.
