MEROM, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Sullivan County residents of all ages gathered together at the Merom Bluff this weekend to celebrate Merom’s yearly festival.

This years Merom Bluff Chautauqua included many things they had in previous years along with many things that were new to this year’s festival.

This year included tons of live music and food along with their annual parade. However, the Little Mr. and Miss Chautauqua pageants was the biggest hit of them all.

“I would say Miss Chautauqua was the best and little Mr. Chautauqua contest. We had excellent music. We had a local person, Joe Rye, who was amazing on Friday night and did some great things,” said Beth Reed, a member of the Merom Improvement Association.

This event had one of its best turnouts yet and everyone a part of the Merom Improvement Association would love for people of all ages to come out and enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of the Merom Bluff Chautauqua next year. The festival takes place the first weekend in June each year.
