TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – WTWO and WAWV once again teamed up with the Terre Haute Humane Society for the annual Tail-a-thon blasted past the goal of $22,000 dollars raised.

After a three-hour fundraising drive and with additional donations rolling in that evening a total of $26,680 was raised for the humane society.

  • 1,200 Pets Cared for and Comforted
  • 800 Stray and Abandoned Pets Taken In
  • 130 Pets Relinquished by their Owners
  • 700+ Adoptions
  • 700+ Pets Spayed or Neutered
  • 178+ Lost Pets Reunited with their Owners
  • 20,000 Pounds of Pet Food Distributed

Organizer Charles Brown said the humane society is grateful for the community’s continued support.

“It definitely makes a huge impact. Not just for the organization, but for the community cause we’re able to provide more services and help more animals,” Brown said.
