RILEY TOWNSHIP, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Drivers are being asked to avoid the area of State Road 159 and Woodsmall Dr. after a two-vehicle wreck has caused traffic delays.
According to Vigo County Dispatch, a FedEx truck and another vehicle were involved in an incident that resulted in downed powerlines.
WIN Energy responded to the downed powerlines and reported that 61 people were without power and linemen were able to safely restore power by 3:11 p.m. on Friday.
Deputy Lynn with the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office noted that one person was transported to the hospital as a result of the injuries and that the roads would be clear by 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
