SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Several people were admitted to the Sullivan County Community Hospital as a result of the tornado that hit the area on Friday evening.
According to Sullivan County Community Hospital Emergency Room department director, Maddison Barbarick, 16 patients were seen due to the tornado.
Two were admitted to the hospital, one was transferred by lifeline and the other stayed at the hospital to rest.
Barbarick said that 100 hospital staff members are on-call to support on-site staff and also noted that due to the hospital’s generator system, there was no lapse in power.
