2 arrested in connection to fatal shooting of ISU student

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Two arrests have been made in connection to the Sept. 18 fatal shooting of an Indiana State University student, according to Terre Haute police.

David Farrell and Wesley Meadows were both arrested Wednesday for criminal recklessness in reference to the death of 18-year-old Valentina Delva from Indianapolis.

According to police, Delva was was attending a house party at 321 South 6th Street just before she was shot.

Five were arrested during the police investigation of the shooting on unrelated charges. Duane Cobb, Eudrice Leflore, Carlton Gray, Monquel Bates and Markia McCutchen were held for possession of marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance, police announced on Facebook.

“This is still a very active investigation and we will continue to push out updates as this case allows,” Terre Haute Police said in a Facebook post.
